I am currently still learning how to sew and often practise by sewing clothes for myself, my daughter and relatives. I also watch sewing tutorials whenever I can in order to broaden my sewing and pattern making knowledge, this helps me prepare for when I launch my small business.
I will purchase a good sewing machine, overlocking machine, fabric & trims and basic sewing & marking tools, so I can eventually set up my business. To reach a wider audience and create brand awareness I would also invest in online marketing of my goods and services. I also intend on launching variety of products from casual clothing line to couture and bags this will create job opportunities. In the near future I also hope to do be able to provide sewing classes and tutorials as another way of contributing to the sewing society.
The funding will enable me to start production because I not only intend on making clothes by customer order but also intend on selling readily made clothes and accessories. This will mean an increase revenue and thus enabling me to employ qualified people that in order to enlarge my business and increase production whilst contributing to local economic growth. Increased online marketing will also create a platform for me to get partnership with other established brands.
