I am currently selling my biscuits and savouries at a community market once a month.
I would like to acquire premises where I could have a conference facility as well as a delicatessen/ coffee shop to showcase and sell my halaal products. I am in the process of relocating from Gauteng to the West Coast and there is immense opportunity as the Industrial Development Zone is expanding rapidly. I will start with the homebaking concept to grow the market. But there is a great need for a facility for contractors to have meetings and also network in a relaxed atmosphere.. There is no halaal facility currently and I want to be the first to start a halaal facility. Halaal products are very popular and I plan to exploit this market in the future inshallah. Additioally I would need to employ at least five ladies and am looking to help unemployed women to create an opportunity for them. I also want to make videos for the hospitality industry with traditional halall recipes for the South African society.
At the moment I would require start up capital to ensure the quality of the products. I would require a gas stove with an oven as load shedding is a problem. Tables and chairs, counters, branding of the business, ingredients and labour. And also employing at least 5 women to help bake the goods and also wait on tables. I would have to save for at least five years prior to starting the business.
